The key in investing in our people and their characteristics
determines the pathway to work and make football more widespread and accessible
to all. ‘You don’t just grow as a footballer but you also learn to be a
person,’ is what our academy and our Chief Executive, previously one of the best football managers in India believes in.
Eric Benny In the year 1996
started his Professional Football career at the National and club level. Spent
good 4 years playing at Professional outfits like Salgaocar F.c, Goa. During
his stint of professional football, He was spotted by other clubs and the
Indian National Team. In the year 2010, Eric moved to an administrative role as
the General Manager of the I-League club Indian Arrows which was then the
Indian U- 23 Olympic squad as a professional outfit. His tenure at the club
proved his prowess and earned his reputation in the Football Industry. 2010,
Eric managed the Indian national team and represented the Asian games at
Guanzhou and in the year 2011 the Olympic qualifiers. His services for the club
and Nation proved him as a successful manager and brings in great value to the
academy.
Eric Benny sports management
provides the right opportunity for young aspiring footballers to live their
dream and work hard towards achieving their goal. To bring this footballing
dream to Indian Standards, Eric Benny sports management created a cycle in four
critical areas; expand the base of young (under 16 years) players across the
country; create a platform to identify talent through structured youth leagues
such as 4v4 leagues and ‘My chance’ tournaments; infrastructure for football
and build football academies to nurture Junior Football talent. The Athletes
are trained with various types of workouts, gym sessions, recovery sessions, nutrition
and all of this tracked by a professional tracking software called Metrifit.
Eric Benny sports Management
is always rooting for young talent and turning them into world class
footballers. The most important is if that player has talent, they can play
with the ball; they do not have to be the strongest or the tallest. From an
early age of six to the age of sixteen everything is about working with the
football.
With the youngest of boys, the most important thing is to
control the ball very well, to have the ability to run with the ball and to
think very quickly and execute their passes very well. Big teams spend so much
time on passing and on tactics, to understand the style of play, which is the
same from the six-year-olds to the first team in any club.
